Gas Cards differ from standard Gas Cards in a couple of important ways. They come in 2 varieties: fuel only or fuel and merchandise.
Gas Cards have an assigned value, typically $5, $10, $25, up to $100. They are not credit cards or debit cards.
Some cards can only be used in one gas company's station or in smaller, hard-to-find stations, while others may be used in a variety of stations.
For protection, they need to be authorized in advance of use.
They are decremented when used, that is, if they have been used, they may have an amount less than the "face value" remaining to be used.
